Chkistchukch, August 17. The iuterprovincial match, Canterbury v. "Wellington, took place to-day at Lancaster Park before 2500 spectators. There was line weather, excepting a cold sou-wester. The ground was in goqd condition. After an even game, the match was won hj Canterbury by G points to 4. In the first spell Lorimer scored a try for Canterbury and Crawford potted a goal for "Wellington. In the second spell Cowlishaw scored for Canterbury. Sydney, August 17. In the football match, New South Wales v. Victoria, the former won by 19 points to 5. Brisbane, August 17. New South Wales beat Queensland by 11 points to 8.
