| Per Press Association) Christchurch, August 13. Addington— Fat Cattle— Beef, 22s to 25s for good prime ; 17s to 20j for secondary to medium. Dairy Cattle— Yarding quite equal to the demand. Good springers, £6 17s 6d and JL*6 10s. Other entries poor in quality and cindition and not quotable as top price. Fat Sheep - Market was well supplied numerically but indifferently to point of quality. Tha demand ran on freezers and heavy fat ewes, which realised an advance on Jast week's rates. The range of prices was as follows :— Crossbred wethers, prime freez ers, 15s to 17s ; second quality, 12s to 14 ; mixed sexes, 15s to 16s ; crossbred ewes, extra heavy,, 14s to 19s ; medium crossbreds, 10s to 13s ; merino wethers, prime, lis to 13s 6d ; secondary to medium, 7s 6d to 10s. Freezers, butchers' best sheep may be quoted at 2d to 2kl per lb ; other classes, l:'Jd to 2d. Fat Lambs— Few came forward. Most were unfit for the butcher. One pen fetched 13s 6d, just down to nominal prices. Store Sheep — Some good lines of forward two-tooth half-breds sold well. No demand for ewes with lambs or in lamb. Pigs — Entry not large and baconers and porkers commanded improved prices, fully 3d being averaged.
