o (Per Press Association.) Christchurch, Aug. 16. At a meeting of the Prohibition League to-night resolutions were carried regarding the decision of the Law Courts by which the conviction of a publican at Little River was quashed, because the J. P dissented from the judgment ofthe S.M., as opening a very dangerous loophole to possible future ' corruption. Resolutions were passed congratulating G. J. Bruce on the successful termination of the recent case,
