I/aery and Co., Limited, report for the past week as under : -Wheat — Prime mildn?, 3s 7d to 3s 9d ; medium to good, 3s 7d f.o.b Southern ports ; wh<>le fowl •wheat, 3s 8d ; broken fowl wheat, 3s 7d, ex stores, Wellington. Oats— Market quiet. Buyers are operating with cau* tion in anticipation of lower values ruling shotly. Although a few holders tn the South show a disposition to force sales the majority appearto be holding firm in anticipation o£ present prices being improved upon. We quote prime short feed, 2s to 2s Id ; Pauish, Is lid to 2s; duns 2s 2d. Barley— Market lifeless. We quote good feed, 2s 3d to 2s 6d : prime malting, nominally 2s 9d. Maize Values have further declined during the week, and best descriptions are quoted to-day at 2s Td. Pollard— Market easier at S7s 6d per 'ton ChsfE— The market continues strong, and considerable quantities have passed through our hands during the week at late rales. We quote — Prime bright heavy, 72s 6d to 75s ; mcd ium to good, 60s to 65s ; cow-feed, 52s 6d to 55a per ton. Cocksfoot— Nothing doing. We quote nominally — Prime mac hine dressed, 4H ; bright heavy undressed 3f d to 4JJ j Tou.uk undressed, 3^ to 3£d per lb. Kye£ra«s— Locally there i g n enquiry, but in sympathy with Southern reports holders are firm in their demands. "We qurte — Prime machine dressed, 4s 3d ; medinm to good 3s 6,d to 3s 9d j rough farmers' lota, 2s 8d to 2s 9d.
