(Per i J ress Association). Ohristchukch, August 18. Geoi'ge Peak, charged with bigamy, applied for an adjournment aud filed an affidavit in support of ifc. His Honor said the affidavit was a plea that accused could not possibly commit bigamy here, because lie had previously committed it in Auckland. After some argument, His Honor said that accus*& wq^lci probably find himself v;;th two indict; ments to meat in November. Hpweyprj a remand to next sittings would be granted. Bail was allowed Henry Thomas was sentenced to three mouths' for a breach of the Bankruptcy Act. y
