The Loss of the Catterthun.
(Per Press Association.) ! Sydnky, August 12. The inquest on the victims of the Catterthun has begun. Foster Lanfear, in evidence, stated that he was in charge at at the time of the vessel striking, the captain being in the chart room. Saw the Seal light, but declined to give the course of steering. Did not see the green light, which would indicate danger, liefused to say whether he altered the | coursfl during his watch, or what position the Seal light bore at the time she struck.
