Mr Chas. Carr reports as follows : — I held my ordinary monthly sales at Birmingham aud Feildiug ou the 6th aud 9th instants respectively. At both places the attendance was unusually large, aud tho bidding brisk, there beiug a good demand for good young sheep. Quotations : Birmingham— Milch cows, £2 18s to £4 7s Gd ; heifers in calf, £2 18s to £'d ; 18-months mixed cattle, 24s to 375 ; wethers, stores, 9s to 9s 8d ; hoggets, 3s Gd to Gs 7d ; 2 tooth ewes in lamb, 7s ; cull ewes in lamb, 3s 6d to 5s 6d. Fcilding— Forward cows, £2 15s ; fat cows, i;" 4 Is to £5 ; 2-year heifers, £2 3s ; weaucrs, 17s to 25s 6d ; empty , ewes, Gs Gd ; fat ewes, 7s Gd to 7s 7d ; , lambs, culls, 4s; lambs, good, 5s 4d to , Gs 9d ; fat wolhors, very good, 12s; , store wethers, 9s 8d to 9s 9d ; 4 and 6- , tooth ewes in lamb, 7s 6d.
