Concert at Halcombe.
A concert was held in the new hall at Halcombe last Thursday evening when there was a large attendance. The programme consisted of the following items : " Friar of orders grey," " The mighty deep," "The Mirier" and "Calvary," as an encore to the latter, by Mr J. F. Stevens ; 11 Listening angels.'"' " In silk attire" and " Norwegian ditty," with harp accompaniment, by Miss Neilson ; " Tell me my heart " Miss Revell ; "'E dunno where 'c are," " Do, do, my huckleberry, do, " BigneU's new medley," by Mr Treserder, each of which was encored, the songs, 11 Dear me, is that possible," " Git yer 'air cut," and " Wot cher," being given in response ; " A sailor's boy," and " The working man," as an encore, Mr Sanson ; trio, " Fair Flora decks," Misses Harper and Revell and Mr J. Sanson ; duet, •• Life's dream is o'er," Misses Revell ; the glees " Hail smiling morn" and " May day," by Mr Sanson's glee party; duet, "Peace and war," Messrs Sanson and Anderson. The concert conclnded with 11 God save the Queen." Miss Anderson played all the accompaniments.
