Serious Explosion.

(Per Press Association). Sydney, August 4. By an explosion on the barquentine Prosperity, lying in Elizabeth Bay tbe deck was torn up from end to end, and Pousty, cook on board tbe vessel seriously injured. A seaman named JfUbn Thomas and a boatswain named Nelson -were slightly injured. The vessel had coal on board, and the exqlosion is attributed to tbe generation of gas.
