Wellington Land Board.

«. The following business was transacted at the last meeting of the above Board, in addition to that published in our last issue : - Messrs Bartholomew Bros.' application in reference to a small reserve on the Pohangiua river, where Patterson's whare is situated, was held over pending permission being obtained to deal with the timber, It was decided to date the Malton Association's leases from Ist July, 1895. In reference to payment of arrears, the following decision was arrived at ; — Section 19, Block VII, Ongo, extended till Ist January. H. A. Faulkner and others in the Kahariki Association petitioned for a revaluation of sections, and it was decided that the Board had no power to grant their request. It was decided to favourably consider W. P. Pidgin's application to exchange sections in the Gladstone Block when a 100-acre section was available. J. M. Turner, section 21, Block VI, Umutoi, to be asked |to explain letter of 14th June. It was decided to hold an inquiry into the sale of section 3, Block I, Umutoi, by A. J. Shaw to R. J. Hughes. W. Woolf is to bo asked to explain how he occupies section 212, Block XII, Mangaone. J. B. jMcßean's application to reside on section adjoining section 64, Apiti, was deferred to get a sketch from applicant and a report from the ranger. Resolved, That improvements on section 7, Block XIII, Hautapu, must be done by W. Smith this winter. D. B. Duncan was given till 30th September to complete improvements on Section 4, Block XIII, Hautapu.
