A New Banking Scheme.
(Per Press Association'). Sydney, August 1. At a meeting of the Bankers' Institute Mr Nash, a prominent; banking authority, read a paper in favour of combination amongst banks for establishing a mutual reserve. They could issue a uniform note with an official recognised basis of reserve, which would nob reduce the Bank's apparanfi holding of cash but would render a substantial portion, now dead, profit yielding.
