The Ongo Loan.
A statutory meeting of ratepayers in the Ongo riding interested *in the proposal to borrow £6000 for the purpose of road-making was held at Baason and Son's store, Waituna, yesterday. There was a fair attendance, and Mr H. G. Shannon, councillor for the riding, was voted to the chair. It was resolved that a poll should be taken on Monday, August 19th, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., and that the polling places be at Feilding, Waituna, Mr Densham's, and at Mr Wilson's whare. A vote of thanks, to the chairman terminated the meeting- - -
