Pohangina Notes.
I The weather we are experiencing is very seasonable. Snow fell heavily on Monday night and about midday on Tuesday, To those hailing from Home the sight reminded them of days gone by, and to those born in the colony it was a novelty. Following up a resolution passed at a recent meeting of the Pohanptina Small i Farm Association No 2, Messrs Selby, A. A. Wngstaff and W. Stanton are to interview the Harbour Board at Wanganui, on Friday, with a view to getting some change in existing arrangements, so that they can get their titles. The library in conn ectionAvith our Public school will be formally opened next week. Donations of books will be thankfully received by the head teacher. Those who have promised subscriptions to the Public Hall Building Fund, would greatly oblige, if they would forward them at once to Mr Welsh, the Secretary at Pohangina. Mr F. W. Arbon has consented to act as President of the Pohangina Cricket Club. He has also promised a trophy for competition.— Standard
