Gold Mining News.
« (Per Press Association.) London, July 26. The Tathan Gold Company of New Zealand, with a capital of L 175.000, is issuing shares to the value of L 125,000. A syndicate is being formed for the purpose of investing a sum of L 200,000 in mining property in Victoria. The new Hauraki Gold Properties Company is being formed with a capital , of £100,000, half of which will be offered to the public.
Auckland, July 27. A cablegram received to-day confirms the news of the floating of the Waitekauri Extended Company in London. A London agent is negotiating for the purchase of the Alpha mine. Alpha shares rose to-day from 4s to ss, owing to the receipt of a cable message stating that the sale negotiations are progressing very favorably. The Kap^nga mine's yield for the month is 4780z, realising L 1372 from 60 tons quartz. Sydney, This Day. Gold has been struck in tbe Great Bolder mine at 160 feet level. The last assays throughout the winze ayeraged 22ozs.
