FURTHER RISE IN PRICES. (Per Press Association.) London, July 26. At the wool sales a good selection of New Zealand wool was offered, and the prices obtained was the highest of the series. Elderslie brought 9d ; Waikakahi, Is 2d ; Wharepapa, lOd. There is more demand from Bradford. Crossbreds are sligbly firmer. Merinos are unchanged. The fifth series of sales begins on 24th September, and the sixth on 26th November. The first series in 1896 is fixed for 14th January, and the second for 3rd March. Sydney. This Pay. The rise in wool in London is affecting the local markets. Two lots were placed at Is 11M, abd Is Id respectively. The latter is the record price for the current year, and Id per 1b above the top quotations realised at last autumn sales either in Sydney or Melbourne.
