Abraham and Williams report:— A full yarding of sheep came forward at Palmerston yesterday, a large propor. tion being lambs and wethers, mixed qualities, with the exception of wethers. Bidding generally was slow— the bulk of * the business being effected privately— on these terms we cleared off the buik of the entry. Cattle were in short supply and not much in demand, springers and milkers being without enquiry. Cattle; Yearling steers, 275; mixed weaners. 18s ; 2£-yrs £3 ; fat heifers, hghfc weights, 19s ; medium fat cows •£3 13s. Sheep -Fat wethers, 10s Id; at ewe wethers, 9s 9d ; woolly lambs, 5s 3d to 5s lid ; store wethers 8s 6d.
