The Late M. Stambouloff.
o (Per Press Association.) Sofia, July 22. During M. Stambouloffs funeral the mourners drew ravolvers to overawe the mob, but the only effect of ibis step was to increase the fury of the onslaught. The Roumanian and Servian Consols, together with their wives, were felled and trampled on. Relatives of the conspirator Tufektchieff have been arrested ou suspicion of being concerned ia the tnurJer. Ono of the allegations brought against M. Statiibouloff by his enemies is that after Tufektchieff's brother, a youth of seventeen, had suffered six months' torture in order that certain evidence of treason might bo extracted from him, Stambouloff ordered him to bo steeped in kerosene and burned alive. July 24. M. Stoiloff has not resigned. The Cabinet has apologised for the treatment to which the foreign consuls were subjected at the funeral of M. Stambouloff.
