At the annual meeting of the City Bank the Chairman said the report showed the business to be growing and the position stronger than ever. The Premier's speech at Tamuda defended the reciprocity treaty and State Advances to Settlers. He argued that the former was a Federal Act, while the latter was only hated because it would exterminate Shylocks. Bbisbane, This Day. The Gambling Bill has passed the Legislative Assembly. Imports for the quarter have increased by L178,000 compared with the corresponding quarter last year. Exports for the same period increased L196,000.
