LATER PARTICULARS.
(Per Press Association.) Rome, July 21. Further particulars of the collision in the Gulf of Spezia show that the captains of both vessels were asleep afc the lime of the occurrence. The Ortigia was going 11 knots, and the Maria, travelling at 10 knots, crossed her bows. The Ortigia's engines were reversed, but it was too late then to avoid the collision.
