Wellington Poultry Show.
(PBB PBKSS ASSOCIATION!. Wemingtos. Jnly 18. The thirteenth annual show of the Wellington Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Association, with which is combined the second championship exhibition of the New Zealand Poultry Association, was opened this afternoon by the Governor. The number of exhibits catalogued were 1129, representing breeders and fanciers from all parts of the colony. The quality is undoubtedly good, but some classes were only poorly represented. The exhibition of Langshans was exceptionally good, and in this class J. Bnekrell, of Wanganui, again wins " The Ballance Trophy " for the most points in that class. Brahmas, Cochins, Leghorns, Dorking, and Spanish Wyandottes were also well represented, but the game and duck classes show a falling off. The pigeons and canaries, with the exception of Belgians, compare favourably with anything previously seen in the colony. _____
