New Zealand Rifle Association.

(Per Press Association). Wellington, July 16. In reply to a deputation of twentyseven members of the House, who urged tbat the usual support should be continued to the New Zealand Rifle Association, the Premier said that the position of the Association this year as a member of the Federated Association of Australasia, was a new feature. Government would grant the usual concession for a federal meeting at Oamaru next year so that it would not fall through, but this must be understood that it only referred to the one meeting.
