The Excelsior Skating Rink.
« The management of the popular skating rink have now made arrangements to continue tbe favourite pastime in tbe new Volunteer Hall, commencing on Wednesday next. The rink will be open at 2.30 in the afternoon for the exclusive use of ladies and children, and for the general public as usual in the evening. As complaints were made of insufficient room being available for the convenience of patrons, the management confidently anticipate that any inconvenience pre viously experienced will now beavoided in the new and spacious Volunteer Hall. It is the intention of the management to introduce novel ancl other roller-skating races, not the least of the many attractions to be presented (especially for the fair sex) being a fancy dress carnival. Tbe new hall, we may state, is specially adapted for carnival purposes, and, being well lighted, would present quite a brilliant scene. A large number of skates of all sizes have been bought from Dunedin, therefore the public may rely upon being supplied without any trouble or inconvenience. No doubt there will be a very large attendance next Wednesday afternoon and evening, when lovers of rollerskating will be able to indulge in the enjoyable " whirl and buzz " under exceptionally favourable circumstances.
