The Attorney General has decided to grant the application of Mr Hanlon solicitor for Mrs Dean, for appeal with respect to the admission of certain evidence at the infanticide trial, and suggests that an immediate sitting of the Appeal Court be held to decide the question. Wellington, This Day. The sitting of the Appeal Court will be held on the 27th iust., when if the parties are ready, Hanlon's application for a new trial in Miunie Dean's case will be dealt with.
