WOOL PRICES STILL FIEM. [Per Press Association | . London, July 10. Wheat i.s 6d lower. Victorian cargo, via tho Invercsk, has been soid at 23s 4d. At the wool sales prices were very firm, and American buyers are competing strongly. The Mamari's cargo of kauri timber was submitted at auction. A portion of ihe consignment whicii was damaged, sold at ls 2d to ls 5d per cubic foot and that not damaged from 2s to 2s ld per cubic foot. For New Zealand white wood there were no bids and the consignment was withdrawn. July 11. It is stated that the sheep which lately sold at 245, are now selling at Bs. Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co. have received the following wool market cablegram from their London house, Messrs Sanderson, Murray and Co., dated 9th July : — As compared with closing rates of last London sales merino clothing has advanced Th per cent. ; and merino combing, 10 per cent. ; and crossbred, 10 to 15 per cent. Tne market continues strong.
