Bad Weather in the South.
(Per Press Association). Timaru, Jnly S. Very bad news comes from the Mac kenzie Country, which has been wholly under snow for a month past, and there it not a bare patch to be seen. The ranges on the east side are badly snowed, and the loss of sheep will be enormous. At Tekapo station it has been impossible even to get out to look at the sheep. Ihe snow lies 3ft deep on the flat and 10ft on the ranges.
