A. G. Tame and Co. report on the markets for the week ending July sth— Fat sheep— All on the rise and likely to continue. Sales of fat wethers 12s to 13s for best ; 10s to 11s for medium ; fat ewes, 9s 4d to 10s 9d ; store sheep, a really good demand. Our books are cleared out of sheep. Sales of good ewes in lamb, young and in good order, 8s to 9s; f.m. 5s to 6s 6d, good demand for hoggets. Could place large lines at full market values. Fat cattle — Really good bullock beef is selling well up to 18s 6d per 1001 b for prime ; cow beef 14s to 15s. Store cattle— Good demand has sprung up again ever since the news of the success of shipment of chilled beef reached us. We quote weaners. 15s to 2Qs ; yearlings, 25s to 32s 6d ; 2-year steers, 50s to 555 ; 3-yr steers, £4 to £4 10s ; according to condition. Horses — We had only a moderate entry and attendance, and nothing good in the yard with the exception of two good hacks by Marvel and Torpedo, which were passed in unsold at £17 and £16. We sold aged draught geldings at £lq ; farmers horses .18 to £9 4s ; light s,orts £9. We have sold privately during tbe week the hack Morryman at a satisfactory price, and a draught mare at £14 : aged draught 1 goldiug £9, Sheepskins— AU Qoining forward sell freely up to 4id lb for dry skins, and creen skins ur> to 4s for best.
