Laery and Co. report for the past weeK as under:— Wheat — Reports from the South indicate an easier tone with a slight decline in yalnes. We quote prime milling, 3s 7id to 3s lOd ; medium to good, 3s 6d "to Ss 7d, f.o.b. Southern ports ; whole fowl wheat, 3s Sd to 3s 9d ex stores. Oats— Market continues firm, and shows indications of improvement. We quote prime short oats, Is lid to 2s ; Danish, Is 10a ; Duns, 2s 2d. Barley— We quote prime mailing, nominally, 2s 9d to 3s ; good feed 2s 6d. Chaff—Transactions during the week have been on a satisfactory scale at prices showing an advance of 2s 6d to os per ton on those last reported. We quote -Prime bright heavy, 723 6d to 75s ; medium to pood, 57s 6d to 65s per ton Cocksfoot — Prime bright machine dressed, 4H ; bright heavy undressed, 4£d ; rougb undressed, 33d perlb. Kyegrass — There is little or no business doing. Choice lines, however, are firmly held. We quote — Prime bright heavy, 4s 3d ; medium to Rood, 3s 6d to 3s 9J ; rough farmers' lots, 2s Gd to 2s 9J. Potatoes- Choice Oamaru derwenls, 50s to 52s 6d ; choice Canterbury derwents, 47s 6d to 50s ; Blenheim, 45s
