The Evidence Further Amending Bill has been amended by the Joic Statutes Revision Committee by the aci dition of the following section :— " N newspaper proprietor, editor, or reporte shall bo compelled to disclose in an proceeding the name of the writer of an; article, letter, or paragraph appearing without such name in the literar; columns of any newspaper, which ma; bo the property of such proprietor, o upon which such editor or reporter ma; have been engaged at the time of th< publication in such article, letter, o: paragraph, provided that nothing heren contained shall be held to lessen th< personal responsibility of such proprietoi editor, or reporter in respect of sucL publication."
