BUEIED*AT SEA. | Per Press Association i CiißisTcnuucn, July 3.Captain Summers, of the barque Lochnagar, which arrived at Lyttelton from Nelson this afternoon, reports the death during the voyage of Mr F. Devere, a Nelson publican. He was buried at sea. Auckland, July 3. The Floria takes to Sydney 200 sheep from Auckland, principally Lincolns, from the Waikato. The Invincible, which was towing a raft of logs from Port Chalmers during yesterday's gale lost it off Cape Colville. It is now floating round in the gulf. The Stella had to let go a raft of logs which she was towing down from Tako B&y. It is now aground near Omaha. Francis Ward, of Port Albert, committed suicide whilst on a visit to Martin Stott, of Wharehine. While Stott went for medicine Ward hanged himself in a stable. Mr Shepherd Allen has definitely declined to stand for the Auckland seat. Mr Thomas' Thompson has placed himself in the hands of the Liberal Party, and will abide by its decision. Colonel Fox will recommend the Government to accept the services of the proposed cadet corps of Prince Albert College. _ vvellington, This Day. A shepherd named Win. Johnston aged 50, employed on Tully's run, Martinborough, was found dead yesterday.
