The Gorge Bridge.
Per Press Association.) Wellington, June 2G. A deputation waited on the Minister of Lands urging Government to reconstruct the Gorge bridge and take over the road. The Minister replied that a deputation recently waited on him asking that the road be closed and the track from Palmerston to Pahiatua be made available for vehicular traffic. Government could not agree with, the proposals, and the Cabinet would have to decide which is the best course to adopt,
