Wesleyan Home Mission Services.

The Rev. W. Morley, organising secretary of the Wesleyan Home Mission and Jubilee Funds, preached in the Wealeyan Church, Feilding, yesterday morning and evening to large and appreciative congregations. In the morning the rev. gentleman took for his text Acts, 28th chap., verses 30 and 31, from which he preached an eloquent sermon. The text for the evening was taken from the Book of Daniel, 12th chap., 13th verse. This was considered one of the most critical and analytical sermons ever delivered in the Church. In the afternoon the the rev. gentleman gave his lecture on *' Hymnology." Mr Carthew occupied the chair. The choir, during the delivery of the lecture, gave selections from the Sunday School and Wesleyan Hymn Books descriptive of the same. The lecturer gave a very graphic account of the origin of hymns, and showed that he was a master of the subject he handled. Mr Morley will speak again at Sandon on Wednesday next, and in Feilding on Thursday evening, when the Home Mission meetings *• will be held.
