The Released Bank Prisoners.

• The Sydney Evening News gives the following particulars regarding the batch of Bank prisoners lately released : — Francis Abigail, convicted on 3rd November, 1892, on a charge of conspiring to issue a false balance-sheet in connection with the Australian Banking Company, and sentenced to five years' hard labor — sentence served, two years six months end twentyone clays. Francis William Addy, convic'ed on 19th February, 1892, on a charge of having fraud ultatly appropriated property of the British and New South Wales Investment and Financial Company (Limited), and sentenced to five yeara' penal servitudesentenced served, three years three months and thirteen days. James Peter Howo and James Miller, convicted , on the 31st October, 1891, on a charge of having conspired to defraud the Australian Mercantile Loan and Guarantee Company, Limited, and sentenced each to seven years' hard labor — sentenced served in each case, three years and seven months. William Percy Smairl, convicted on 12th February, 1892, on a charge of having embezzled money belonging to the Imperial Land, Building and Deposit Company, Limited, and sentenced to five years' penal servitude — sentence served, three years three months and twenty days. Andrew Fitzgerald, convicted on 18th February, 1892, t on a charge of having, as managing director of the Trades and Labor Co-operative Store Company, fraudulently appropriated propei ty cf the Company, and sentenced to five years' penal servitude — sentence served, three years three months and fourteen days.
