The New Governor of N.S.W.
[Per Press Association!. London, June 18. Viscount Hampden, the New Governor of New South "Wales, is a Liberal Unionist. He proposes to embark with his wife and three grown up daughters early in September, but if essential is prepared to go to the colony at an earlier date. The Press generally approve of the appointment. The Times consider the appointment cannot be taken exception to, although the selection is the conspicuous result of the Unionist manifesto, and a confession of weakness on the part of the Government. The Daily News states that the appointment will gratify Australia's passion for titled Governors, and indicates that Lord Rosebery places Imperial interests above party.
