THE POSITION OF THE LIBERALUNIONISTS. [Per Press Association.] London, June 17. At the National Union banquet, the Duke of Devonshire said that while shaping the policy of the United Party the Liberal Unionists had abstained from accepting offers of a share in the honours, but the leaders on both sides were now agreed that they must divide the duties in the new Government. He hoped that from this alliance would rise a party deserving the title of National. At present the movement in favour of Irish autonomy was dead, but if the alliance were weakened it would be certain to be revived. __
