— V (Per Press Association.) Loudon, June 14. The proposal to pay the British-East Africa Company £90,000 as a retiring settlement was discussed in the House of Commons last night, the vote being agreed to by a majority of 198 votes. It has been arranged that the ConsulGeneral in Zanzibar will administer the East Africa protectorate. The construction of a railway to Uganda is to be commenced without delay.
