Naval Architects' Conference.

(Per Press Association). Paris, June 12. Speaking at the Naval Architects' Congress, Lord Brassey said that Great Britain was greatly indebted to French inventors for initiating ironclads in 1855, and demonstrating the advantages of steel over iron for the construction of armour plates. He also mentioned kindly personal memories of his residence ag a youth when his father was building the pioneer railways. He said he regarded the united administration of the Suez Canal as auguring the friendly solution of the Dohtical problems in Egypt.
