Licensing Meetings.
O (Per Press Association.) Timaku, June 7. All the licenses are granted and extension to 11 o'clock, The Rev Mr Gillies, a member ot the Committee, objected to the renewal of licenses to houses having private bars and averred that only public bars as defined by the Act were illegal. He also opposed an extension of the hours but was defeated by five to two on both poiuts. Gisbohne, June 7. The AVaiapu Licensing Bench's annual meeting was held to-day. All the applications for renewal were granted.
