A Perilous Voyage.
♦ (Per Press Association.) Melbourne, May 31. The ship Aberfoyle has arrived here safely. The crew report that but for the timely appearance of the steamer Tagliaferro, the vessel would have been wrecked. The same night as land was sighted, Captain Robertson had been drinking heavily before the mate was washed overboard, and after this evont occurred he drank half-a-pint of carbolic acid, from the effects of which he died.
