The following nominations were received for the New Zealand Cup : — The Artist, Irish Twist, Pegasus, Huatia, Impulse, Royal Rose, Oscillator, Casket, Euroclydon, St. Hippo, Torpina, Quiltri, Spindrift, Solitaire, North Atlantic, Bugler, Maximilian, Mahaki, Brooklet, The Possible, Bessie McCarthy, Bonnie Scotlaud, Pomanu, Sternchaser, Eip Van Winkle, Golden Plover, Loveshot, Missfire, Belliceut, Magazine, Chaos, Marco, Saracen, Lord Zetland, Lady Zetland, Prime Warden, Ngatuere, Westmere, Speculator, Aldershot, Orion's Belt, St. Regal, Monte Carlo, Banner, Deadshot, Skirmisher, Silver Spec, Au Revoir, Canuouball, Padlock, Waiuku, Outpost, Gipsy Grand, Lomie, Errington.
J. Forsyth, one of those disqualified by the Palmerston Trotting Club in connection with the Te Horo affair, has ■written to the Club, asking that the disqualification be removed. Forsyth disclaims knowledge of any swindle, merely having ridden the horse at the meeting. — Standard.
