Messrs Abraham and Williams report : A moderate yarding of sheep was penned at Palmerson yesterday. We have no cliango to report in any respect of quotations. We effected a good clearance but nothing privately. Only a small number of cattle came to hand, including some very fine shorthorn breeding cows and heifers. No steers, yearlings or useful store cattle were yarded. Lambs made from 2s to 3s lOd ; 2-tooth wethers, 5s 9d ; mixed 2-tooths 5s 3d ; forward wethers, 7s Id ; fat ewes, 6s, others, 5s ; store ewes, 2s 6d to 4s 6d ; heifers in calf, L 4 ; well bred shorthorn cows, L 3 10s ; small lot of fat cows, L 4; store pigs, 5s Gd ; slips, 4s 6d to 5s 6d.
