Birthday Honors.
(Per Press Association). Wellington, May 28. Ministers do not expect to hear of any New Zealanders being included among the Birthday honors. It is said that either Mr Seddon or Mr Ward, had th^y desired knighthood, would have received the honor. London, May 25. Among the Birthday honors are the names of Suowdou (Mayor ol' Melbourne) and A. C. Cuslow (Chief Justice of Western Australia), who have been knighted ; Walter Besaut (author), Henry Irving (actor), Dr Itussoll (war correspondent), aud Lewis Morris (poet), to be Knight Bachelors ; Sir Thomas J. Buxtou, recently appointed Governor, of South Australia, Mr R. C. Baker. C.M.G. (President of the South Australian Legislative! Council I, and the Hon. W. A. Zeal (President oi' the Victorian Legislative Counc 1) to be Kniyht Cominaudcrs of St. Michael and St. George.
