0 Me.'srs Abraham and Williams report : A moderate entry of sheep came forward at our Palmerston yards yesterday. The quality and condition of the higher priced lambs warranted the advance of late rates ; other sorts call for no special mention. A better demand existed under the hammer than of late, which enabled a total clearance to be effected, though we cannot quote any advance beyond the lambs referred to. Cattle were in f-bort supply the inquiry very limited and business is guided accordingly. Sheep — Lambs, 4s 2d to 4s 9d ; others, 3s 2d ; fat ewes, 4s 8d to 5s lid ; store ewes, 2s lid to ds Id ; store wethers, 6s 3d. Cattle— cows and calves, L 2 15s ; light weight heifers, L 3 7s ; yearling steers, 20s Pigs — Large j porkers, 18s to 20s ; stores. 8s to 10s ; baconers, 31s.
