A CORRECTION.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE STAR. Sir, — I see by jour Saturday's report of the Manchester Road Board meeting that I presented a petition to the Board signed by only fourteen ratepayers. This is an error, as the paper I gave was signed by forty-three names. Indeed, so willing was every ratepayer I interviewed to have the Malrino bridged at this dangerous crossing that I only met with one refusal. I might also mention that Mr Bray pointed out to the Board that it would only be a matter of .£IOO to bridge the Makino at this spot. This would seem not a very large undertaking. I am, &c, C. H. Coote. Wavertree, May 6th, 1895.
