Messrs Nolan, Tonks and Co. report : — On the 29th ult. we held a clearing sale at E. S. and W. Bend's, of Ngaire, Bidding for dairy stock was spirited, and fair prices obtained, cows bringing an average of £5 14s 6d and heifers £4 7s 6d. At Opunake, on 30th ult. there was a fair entry, but competition slack. At Manaia on 2nd insc. owing so the heavy rain the quantity advertised did not come forward. At Opunake — Weaners 188 to 22s : fat heifers, L 3 103 to L 3 17s ; springers, jL3 i 158 to L4; dairy cows, L 4 10s to L 4 15s ; yearlings, 25s to 28s. At Manaia — 3-yr forward bullocks, 14 7s 6d ; 3^-yr stesrs, L8 7s ; heifers and calves 475" 6d ; store cows, 50s to 52s ; weaners 18s. Messrs Abraham ar»d| Williams report : Best hacks, Lll to LlB 10s ; others, L 6 to L8; trap horses, L9 to L 1 0; 2 and 3 year unbroken, L2 2s 6d to L4 7s 6d ; yearlings, 25s ; foals, 10s to 15s.
