At 12.15 the Orizaba ) backed slowly out from the pier, and hundreds of men and boys, and even women, scrambled into the railway trucks to obtain a better view. Mr Day from the hurricane deck waved good-bye to friends in the crowd, and i was simply overwhelmed with instruci tions to " take care of old Carbine." * — Exchange.
