United Farmers Alliance.

SATISFACTORY REPORT. (Per Press Association). Wellington, April 26. The annual report of the United Farmers' Alliance, for the annual meeting of shareholders atPalmeraton N., on May 11th, is as follows: " The directors have pleasure in placing before the shareholders the third annual repbrt and balance sheet, and feel sure that the result of the year's working will give satisfaction. The balance sheet shows a net profit of £757 16s Id, which, after paying off last year's debit in profit and loss, of £599 12s Id, leaves a credit balance of Jl5B 3s 8d to carry forward to next year. The directors would point out to shareholders that the profit for the year ending March, 1895, is equal to 7£ per cent, on subscribed capital, and when the depression so generally felt, especially by the farming community, is taken into consideration, the result cannot but be considered favorable. During the year nearly all the calls outstanding at 31st March, 1894, have been collected. A call of lfls per share was made payable on Ist January last, and the directors would take this opportunity of assuring shareholders that it is not their intention to make any further call for some time. The directors retiring by rotation are Messrs J. Cotter and J. R. Johnston, both of whom are eligible for re-election without notice, and they offer themselves accordingly. You will be asked to elect an auditor for the ensuing year; Mr Eember, the retiring auditor, offers himself for re-election."
