Football Notes.
[Per Press Association.} Wellington, April 24. The report of the New Zealand Kugby Union, for presentation at the annual meeting on Saturday, alludes to the prospect of completing the federation of footballers this season and mentions that it is intended this year, if possible, to begin a series of North v. South matches, to be played alternating in convenient centres. The work of the appeal committee is stated to have given general satisfaction and the precis of the decisions will be circulated. The New South Wales Union has in hand the work of drafting a constitution for Australasia Union. The tour of the N.S.W. team left a deficit of £53, represented by amount due to players for expenses. The cost of the ; trip was £817. The cost of sending the team to Australia was £882, on -which there was also a loss of £44. The expenses of the management only amounts to £19 11a. The debit balance at the end of tho year was £69, but this may be reduced on a &a&] Adjustment of accounts. The Queensland teanuis expected to visit the Colony this winter.
