o AN OFFICER UNFIT FOR DUTY, j (per press association/. Sydney, April 19. It is understood that the trouble on board the H.M.S. Ringarooma is owing to thc doctor stating that a high officer was mentally unfit to proceed to sea. The officer placed the doctor under arrest. This Day. The Ringarooma's officer who was re« ported unfit for duty, instead of submitting to authority, left the vessel and went on board another warship. He was brought back and placed under arrest in his cabin. Admiral Bridge was communicated with and ordered an enquiry to be held, the officer being provisionally released. Meanwhile further proceedings stand in abeyance till the Admiral's return on the 28th, and the ship will be detained at least 10 days.
