Football Notes.
The Manawatu Rugby Union delegates met at the Manchester Hotel last evening. Present — Messrs TV. Halcombe, A. G. Carty, Feilding ; J. T. Matheson, Palmerston N. ; Mahon, Palmerston Half-Holiday ; J. Macmillan, D. B. Harris, Pirates ; W. Giesen, Marton ; F. Bray, Red Star, Feilding. Mr Palmer, Secretary, was also present. Mr Halcombe was voted to the chair. A letter was received from the Secretary of the Mai'ton Club, dated April 10th, consenting to join the Union again this year ; also, another letter asking how ifc was they had been Ici'i; oat of the fixtures for the coming season. Mr Fache wrote stating he could not act as delegate on the New Zealand Rugby Union as he represented another Club. The Birmingham Club wrote saying they would not join the Union this year. The Half-Holiday and Red Star Football Clubs applied for affiliation to the Union, which was granted. Resolved, That the Red Star, HalfHoliday, Pirate 11., Palmerston 11., Feilding 11., be admitted to play for the Junior Cup. Resolyed, That the application of the Marton Club to be re-instated be accepted subject to their paying arrears to the Union by April 23rd. Resolved, That the Secretary arrange tlio Junior fixtures. The meeting then adjourned.
