♦ MrR. E. Beckett reports— l held a very successful clearing sale at Mr T. Atkineon's, Crofton Road, Marton, on Wednesday. Following are the prices :2tooth wethers, 6s 9d ; 2 and 4-tooth ewes a7s 7d : shorn lambs, 4s Id ; old ewes, 3s ; cows, L 4 5s to L 4 7s : heifers in calf. L 3 53 ; 12-inonths heifers, LI 12s to L 2. I also quitted a quantity of farming implements of good value. Messrs Abraham and Williams report ; — Busiuess during the past week has been considerably interfered with by reason of the holidays and flooded state of (be country. Small entries have consequently come to hand. We quote : — Fat «W6B, 6s 6d ; breeding ewes, 4s 4d ; store ©weß, 3s 6d ; fresh 2^-yr steers, L 3 10s ,• ■mall weaners, 8s to 12s.
